Nominations are now being accepted for the ninth annual Lois
Fairley Nursing Award, which honours outstanding nurses in Windsor and
Essex County.
Presented by the Windsor-Essex chapter of the Registered Nurses’
Association of Ontario, nominations are received from the community.
If you a know a nurse who has made an impact in their workplace or in
the lives of a patient or family member, nominate them by writing your
story in 500 words or less.

Deadline for the entries is 5 p.m. on April 1.
The award is named in honour of Lois Fairley, a Registered Nurse who
started and finished her 38 year nursing career at Grace Hospital in
Windsor from 1955 to 1993.
Fairley died in 2007 and the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario established the award in 2008.
Last year’s winner was Rita DiBiase.
